Job Responsibilities
1. Establishing a facility financial management system through: (a) P
and L reviews in collaboration with the Corporate Accounting Staff;
(b) accounts receivable reviews in discussion with the Regional
Financial Controller and compliance reviews to assure all business
office policies and procedures are accurately maintained.
2. Assuring each facility maintains adequate quantities of qualified
staff to deliver services twenty-four hours each day in each
discipline as established by Acuity Based Staffing, Therapy Staffing
System, as well as effective recruitment and retention programs,
initial orientation and ongoing in-service training.
3. Regularly reviewing marketing plans with Executive Directors to assure
that services meet the needs of the local facility and financial and
census targets are achieved as budgeted.
4. In conjunction with Executive Directors, Regional Clinical staff and
Medical Directors, reviewing policies, procedures and systems of each
facility to assure quality services are provided to meet resident's
needs nursing, nutrition, rehabilitation, social, activity,
environmental and other needs. Analyzing the clinical summary monthly
to assure indicators are maintained within acceptable limits.
Participating in scheduled clinical reviews of respective facilities
and assuring that agreed upon action plans are executed.
5. Assuring each facility maintains substantial compliance with all
local, state and federal regulations to assure licensure, relevant
certifications, OSHA, Life Safety, ADA requirements.
6. Reviewing and approving each facility annual operating budgets and
capital expenditure plans as required by corporate policy. Providing
direction and support to the facility Executive Directors in achieving
contribution margins at or above budgets and capital expenditures at
or below budget.
7. Assuring action plans are developed and implemented to address issues
identified in satisfaction surveys or through other grievance
channels. Responding promptly and professionally to resident, family,
or employee concerns.
8. Responsible for the professional growth and improved management skills
of Executive Directors and facility managers through mentoring and
training. Setting a good example and foster team spirit between
facility and corporate staff.
9. Assuring that all reasonable requests from corporate staff for
reports, facility visits and other interactions are completed in a
timely and professional manner.
10. Attending and participates in professional workshops and seminars to
keep abreast of current changes in the healthcare field, as well as to
maintain licensed status and influence in state healthcare
regulations.
11. Acting as temporary/interim as needed, for vacancies that may occur in
regions.

staff, budgets, marketing plans, action plans and clinical issues are
