analyzed at the beginning of each shift with critical values communicated to nurses

processing. Also, an attached urgent care ER had minimal to moderate amounts of patient
work-ups. Specimen counts were 90-120 Chemistry, 10-30 Coagulation, 60-100
Hematology, and 15-30 in the Urinalysis sections. Doctors and nurses were called nightly
to relay critical values. The lab was closed solo each morning on a 5p-3a shift. Another
technologist assisted till mid-shift.)
