System Management Lead:

This requirement is in anticipation of, and contingent upon, an award for conducting Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) support for the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) of Program Executive Office, Missiles and Space (PEO M&S). The OCIO provides IT support to PEO Headquarters (HQ), 6 PM Offices, external Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine organizations, as well as, various foreign countries with cooperative agreements. Currently the OCIO supports approximately 2500 desktop users and 300 external users. Anticipated contract award date is 1 March 2021 with need for immediate presence to support transition activities.

Duties include:

• Manage systems administration and maintenance on 4 separate networks consisting of approximately 95-100 ESXi Hosts, 200+VMs/appliances and over 450 vDI Windows 10 desktops.


• Lead performance of system administration, monitoring, and reporting of system reliability, availability, maintainability, capacity, and performance across the enterprise Provide cutting edge mission network solutions utilizing voice, data and video networks comprised of both classified and unclassified networks, and Stand-alone systems.


• Direct hardware installations of new equipment, e.g., servers (e.g. Windows, Unix, Network Devices, and Virtual Machine Components), virtual file servers, and storage devices.


• Provide System Administration Planning. Perform system analysis, design, implementation, sustainment and retirement activities in compliance with the PEO MS existing software development standards, including the PEO MS automated CM tool


• Ensure system performance through diagnostics using appropriate parameters and protocols in coordination with DA, ASA(ALT), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and others, as designated by the government.


• Establish and sustain virtual infrastructure; migrate selected mission applications from legacy environments to the latest virtual hardware/software platforms; and establish new mission applications into virtual hardware/software platforms.
  
  
  
  • Compile and execute ready object code for the software on government specified computers and operating systems.
  
  
  • Configure Virtual Machine (VM) servers, create virtual desktops, and create VM views.
  
  
  • Configure and control the active directory.
  
  
  • Continuously assess and optimize VM components and reduce lag time.
  
  
  
  

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field & 10+ years’ experience


• IAT Level II certification: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP


• Able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) prior to the start of work.


• Must have at least one of the following current certifications to satisfy DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III: CISSP, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security, CASP+ CE


• Must have at least one of the following current network certifications:

Desired:

• ITIL Level 3 Certification


• Experience with DoD, Army and/or Aviation Missile Command (AMCOM) customers.


• Experience with classified and unclassified networks.


• Experience and skillset necessary to manage the following VMware technologies: VMware vSphere (computing), VMware vSAN (storage), VMware NSX (networking and security), and VMware vRealize Suite (cloud management)

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. An active TS/SCI security clearance is required. This is a full-time position located in Huntsville, AL.
