POSITION TITLE:
Senior Project Leader - Validation Services
POSITION DUTIES:
Design automated solution for validating the chip before it is released to the market by utilizing the understanding of semiconductor parameters, lab instrumentation, and workflow. Define system setup to accomplish maximum automation. Design an integrated solution by utilizing the knowledge regarding workflow tools, including specification definition interface, data analysis tools, customer database, etc. Collaborate (technical) with the customer’s design/system team to define the requirements, architecture design, and test procedures. Translate the requirements to the software development team in the form of specification and requirement documentation through effective verbal and written communication. Identify feasibility by seamlessly working with lab instruments and identifying limitations or features in the system to meet automation objectives. Understand the datasheets of various instrumentations such as Power Supplies, Laser Sources, Imaging devices, Actuators, and Interferometers to effectively design the solution. Identify bottlenecks in the validation workflow and innovatively provide solutions to reduce the time to market and improve the quality of deliverables to end users. Leverage / Enhance / Modify a proprietary customer-owned and developed software framework for semiconductor test systems, to facilitate the creation of additional user-friendly graphical user interfaces (GUIs), personalized test scripts and sequencers, specialized tools for managing tests, integration with various types of instruments, and logging and analysis of data. Propose and implement new capabilities to enhance the customer’s proprietary software framework for the benefit of all current and future users of the proprietary framework. Design, implement, evaluate and deliver the solutions created using the customer’s proprietary software framework and hardware setup at the customer's labs and compile the testing outcomes for customer evaluation and sign off. Prepare the hardware setup in the Customer's site with proper cables and power supplies, to enable the global teams located outside the US to perform remote testing and compile test outcomes for relevant use cases. Perform project management tasks. Provide necessary training to customers regarding the final deployment of the solution. Develop comprehensive training materials to effectively onboard new customer users on the proprietary customer software framework. Create a training schedule and facilitate training sessions for new customer users. Derive and propose ideas for developing Soliton Intellectual property based on the gaps seen in the post-silicon validation domain. Engage with US semiconductor manufacturers of USB-PD chips to train and deliver the solution Soliton has built for this technology. Implement Soliton’s specifically designed solution that is uniquely addressing the testing automation needs for pre- and post-silicon for the USBPD chip. Maintain the responsibility to work with the client’s design team to understand what functions of the USBPD compliance need to be covered in the test and the instrumentation available in the lab to execute the project. Capture customer requirements for this product and drive feature improvements through the India-based development team. Leverage all Soliton IPs needed to provide a comprehensive solution, which will include Solitons validation framework SIVA, and desktop virtualization tool to test drivers across multiple OS.
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Instrumentation or related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or related occupation.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Utilizing experience in architecture, design, development, and testing of validation automation solutions for the automotive, semiconductor and industrial sectors; providing technical leadership to the globally distributed project teams including managing deliverables and resources to meet customer commitments; Delivery Management, Budget Management, Customer Management and People Management for large enterprise scale software application delivery and deployment; Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies for software development; Onsite Project execution from project kick-off to closure; LabVIEW; TestStand; Python; Actor Framework; working with sophisticated stimulus and measurement lab equipment for high-precision testing; working in a controlled lab environment with awareness of personnel and ESD protection procedures; LVOOP; TIBCO Spotfire; JIRA; Perforce; Git; Infrastructure toolkits; Lab Automation Architecture (instrument drivers and toolset library); semiconductor data sheet and data format; National Instrument PXI Instruments and Hardware; Benchtop Instruments from Agilent, Keysight, Keithley and Lecroy; high resolution imaging and illumination equipment; USB PD and Type C compliance test parameters; Agile methodology to execute the projects; ISO 9001:2015 compliant process tools; Budget and Invoice Tracker; and Test Plan.
TELECOMMUTING/TRAVEL:
5% to 10% both domestic and international travel.
