Senior Programmer Analyst (API Developer) (Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; Los Angeles, CA): Analyze, design, and build software applications using standard application design patterns and systematic approaches to application integration. Develop software applications that support business objectives while providing expertise in all phases of the software development lifecycle: conception, design, testing, production, and maintenance. Design and build REST application programming interfaces (APIs) using modern technology stack. Perform DevOps activities to support the continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD) platform. Provide technical documentation to internal business and design teams. Follow designated development methodologies and processes. Implement enterprise policies for security and confidentiality at the system and inter-system levels. Provide systems support during special events such as mission-critical system upgrades, software deployment on cloud, SSL certificate renewal, integration platform upgrades, new application go-lives, application failover exercises, and disaster recovery drills. Facilitate design and technical meetings. Telecommuting permitted from within the U.S.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, plus five (5) years of experience as a Programmer Analyst, Software Engineer, or related occupation.

Must have experience with the following: REST API development using open-source programming language (NodeJS, .Net, or Java); SQL and non-SQL databases to build backend applications and APIs; JavaScript programming; Amazon Web Services (AWS) fundamentals (VPC, EC2, Cloud Formation, IAM, and S3); AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Fargate); DevOps tools and frameworks (GitHub, CodeCommit, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and Jenkins); and Splunk to build reports, alerts, and dashboards.

Salary: $139,006 – $166,121 per year
