Job Summary


The Junior advisor will work with a senior advisor and client services staff in a team responsible for managing accounts and client relationships. Your primary responsibilities will include financial planning and portfolio rebalancing for the clients in the senior advisors group and assisting the senior advisor in client meetings and other advisory services. Working closely with a senior advisor will give you the opportunity to learn LongViews investment philosophy and approach to portfolio management. You may also be involved with marketing and business development projects and assist with onboarding new clients. Junior advisors who meet performance goals and gain required professional licenses and certifications will have the opportunity to manage their own book of clients, which includes responsibility for those client relationships, financial planning and investment portfolios. There may also be other opportunities for professional advancement.




Duties and Responsibilities




  • Financial planning, including collecting and inputting data, completing scenario planning and analysis, and preparing presentations related to retirement planning and other goals.




  • Portfolio rebalancing




  • Taking notes during client meetings with senior advisors and entering notes into the CRM




  • Ensuring timely responses to client correspondence and inquiries




  • Developing expertise in our firms technology within your first year of employment, including helping to maintain accurate database information.




  • Identifying opportunities to improve client relationships and communications and build your and LongViews reputation as a trusted resource.






Qualifications




  • Licensed CFP, or on track to complete CFP designation within 12 months of hire.




  • 2-3 years minimum experience in a financial services environment.




  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.






  • Interest in socially and environmentally responsible investing.




  • Well organized, with superior attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.




  • Strong sense of personal and professional ethics and integrity.




  • Desire to gain Series 65 registration within next few years.




  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and demonstrated ability to learn new software programs.




  • Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment.
