Job Summary:

The Laser Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting machines to produce precision parts and components according to company specifications. This role requires a strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  Machine Operation:

  
  
  • Set up and operate laser cutting machines, including programming and adjusting settings as necessary.
  • Load materials into the machine, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.

  Quality Control:

  
  
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser cutting equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of production runs, including material usage and machine settings.

  Safety and Compliance:

  
  
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  Collaboration:

  
  
  • Work closely with other team members, including engineers and quality control, to meet production goals.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any issues or concerns.
  
  

Qualifications:

  Experience:

  
  
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming and machine setup.

  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in basic math and measurement tools.

  Physical Requirements:

  
  
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

  Education:

  
  
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or a related field is a plus.
