Provide mechanical design and development of new products or product enhancements for the automotive service tools industry.
Design and develop Special Service Tools in support of customer Tool program.
Create 3D Models and 2D Mechanical Drawings (CAD).
Gather tool requirements and application information.
Develop tooling concepts and solutions.
Develop tool mock-ups, prototypes (e.g. 3D printing).
Coordinate with machine shops and other suppliers for prototype fabrication.
Test and validate tools on vehicles or vehicle subsystems.
Document legacy tools where existing documentation is deficient.

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2-4+ years relative work experience.
Hands on experience in automotive maintenance and repair is preferred.
Must be proficient in the use of the computer for design. Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD experience is preferred.
