Job Title: Plant Manager
Location: Tyler, Texas




Job Summary:
Frankston Packaging is seeking an experienced Plant Manager for our Tyler, Texas facility. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, driving productivity, and ensuring top-tier quality standards are met. Frankston Packaging has been a leader in custom packaging solutions since 1957, specializing in folding cartons, flexible packaging, rigid/set-up boxes, and pressure-sensitive labels. We pride ourselves on sustainable practices, advanced technology, and industry certifications like G7 and GMI, ensuring high standards in quality and sustainability.




Key Responsibilities:



  1. Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop production teams to enhance productivity and foster a positive workplace culture.

  2. Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient production aligned with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

  3. P&L Management: Manage plant budgets, control costs, and maintain profitability within all operational activities.

  4. Quality Control & Process Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives and maintain strict quality control systems.

  5. Technical Knowledge Application: Oversee advanced packaging equipment, such as flexographic presses and color control systems, ensuring optimal performance.

  6. Sustainability Practices: Uphold Frankston Packagings commitment to sustainability by incorporating recyclable materials and supporting zero-waste initiatives.




Qualifications/Skills:



  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, with a background in the packaging industry highly preferred.

  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.

  • Strong knowledge of P&L management, budget control, and financial oversight.

  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on quality and team development.

  • Familiarity with G7 and GMI quality standards is an advantage.




Work Environment:



  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment with advanced packaging machinery.

  • Requires physical mobility around the plant, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
