Estimate project costs based on information provided or collected. Create estimate documentation for management use, including written proposals, written statements of work, pricing summaries, and pricing analysis. Read and understand architectural and HVAC mechanical drawings/plans or other specifications related to projects. Analyze, review, and assist in selecting components, materials, and labor requirements to decide cost-effective estimates. Prepare accurate and detailed takeoffs of a complete range of project work. Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors/subcontractors and for use by management in planning, organizing, and scheduling work. Consult with vendors, contractors/ subcontractors, and management to discuss estimates and resolve issues with changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Meet with clients in the negotiation process and communicate with clients for questions and requests for clarifications. Schedule equipment and material deliveries for projects. Document, organize, and track all correspondence, cost, and scheduling. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors. Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products. Work on multiple estimates to meet the bid deadlines.

Requirements: Associate’s in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physical Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
Two (2) years of experience as HVAC Estimator or related will be accepted in lieu of an associate's degree.
