I.  DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Texas Education Agency requires the services of 1 Software Developer 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Software Developer 2, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Education Agency(link removed) />
Foundation School Program
The primary source of state funding for Texas school districts is the Foundation School Program (FSP). This program ensures that all school districts, regardless of property wealth, receive "substantially equal access to similar revenue per student at similar tax effort.
Experience Required: Minimum 7 to 10 years
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support an existing financial system using (link removed) 4.8 framework and Microsoft technologies.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) in a SCRUM/Agile environment for a maintenance project.
• Develop and maintain complex reports using Crystal Reports integrated with Oracle databases.
• Optimize and maintain code using nHibernate and Entity Framework for Object-Relational Mapping (ORM).
• Ensure the scalability and performance of the financial system through database solutions using Oracle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues within the financial system.
• Work closely with the DevOps team to maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation processes.
• Provide ongoing technical support and resolve performance issues within the maintenance project.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 7 to 10 years of experience in application maintenance and support, with a focus on:
• SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
• DevOps practices, particularly in maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Microsoft technologies including .NET 4.8 framework, ASP.NET, C#, and Visual Studio.
• nHibernate and Entity Framework for ORM.
• Crystal Reports for generating and maintaining reports in financial systems.
• Oracle database management, including PL/SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Experience working on maintenance projects in a financial system environment, ensuring ongoing support and stability.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems using Bitbucket.
