Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. Will be required to meet productivity goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
Communicate with employees, within or outside of the department, to rectify problems, such as damage, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as hand trucks, conveyor, or sorting bins.
Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter.
Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposes.
Load/unload trailers
Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping and storage.
Works cooperatively with all co-workers to achieve common goals; communicating effectively and sharing information and resources appropriately.
Keep work area neat, clean and organized.
Responsible for monthly test counts.
Required to work annual inventory.
OCCASIONALLY OR AS NEEDED
Ability to work overtime as needed; shift is over when work is completed for the day.
Other duties as assigned by Management and Supervision.

Education/Experience:

Prefer high school graduate or GED. One year of general work experience. Must have previous warehouse experience for this position.
