Job Summary
As the IT manager, you are given the job of being accountable and responsible for ensuring our computer systems run smoothly within the limits of specifications, costs, requirements and timelines. You will also supervise the maintenance and implementation of any new products used to meet the company's computing needs. Highlight your leadership skills by managing a team of IT professionals. Explore your innovative side with research and implementation of computer processes and equipment that provides strategic solutions to the unique problems the company faces on a regular basis. You are part of a team of individuals who are responsible for an essential piece of the personnel puzzle.
Job Responsibilities
- Initiate, coordinate, and enforce all systems, policies and procedures implemented by the company to ensure that our IT department is meeting company standards.
- Coordinate timetables and resources with the data center and user department in order to complete projects on time.
- Enforce and establish organization standards in order to maintain a high level of customer service to our customers.
- Responsible for establishing and leading a team that implements, maintains and supports all application software technology.
- Has overall responsibility for all application support services and associated staff.
- Plans, develops, directs, evaluates and improves all aspects of the use of application software technology.
- Possesses primary accountability for the evaluation, implementation, and improvement of these services across the enterprise including all clinical, financial, and revenue applications whether purchased or developed.
- Responsibilities also include “infrastructure” applications and services such as interface development, data warehousing and reporting.
- Provide leadership and guidance in support of new business growth and in support of business objectives.
- Provide insight and direction around technical platforms, including tool sets and applications.
- Build a strong project management competency in the information systems team capable in order to develop and execute the tasks and projects needed in support of business objectives.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science or a related field
- Minimum 5 years EMR (Epic, Meditech, Allscripts or Cerner) implementation or optimization experience
- 3 years management experience in HIT
- Budgeting and contract management experience
- Strong staff management skills
