Job Description:
We are searching for an organized, detail-oriented and highly motivated Business Valuation and Litigation Analyst to join our Forensic and Valuation Services Team in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financials for valuation, forensic accounting, & litigation engagements.
- Work with financial models for analyzing financial statements, preparation of income, preparation of market approach, & asset tracing.
- Perform in-depth client, industry, & market research, while preparing narrative reports to support valuation & litigation analyses.
- Participate in client calls/meetings & assist in development & delivery of marketing or technical presentations.
- Ensure quality control standards are met.
- Critical thinker with a sense of creativity and ingenuity.
- Fulfill additional business valuation litigation duties, including succession planning, estate & gift taxation, shareholder buy-outs & litigation, marital dissolution, individual income/cash flow determination, lifestyle & expense analysis, financial mediation, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related.
- 0 to 3 years’ experience in valuation/litigation, consulting, accounting, commercial banking, credit analysis, or corporate finance.
- Advanced financial modeling & writing skills, paired with strong analytical, & problem-solving skills.
- Highly detailed & well organized, with ability to adapt & handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Elevated level of business integrity, client service, & leadership skills.
Preferred, but not required:
- Progression towards ABV, ASA, CFA, CVA, CFE or CPA credentials.
