The Union at St. Johns is looking for a full time Porter to work days Wed-Sun in a beautiful, newly built, mixed-use apartment building here in Portland. We are looking for someone who is a hard worker, has a positive attitude, reliable and able to go with the flow as things can change at a moment’s notice. You will be a representation of The Union and will be interacting with residents, visitors and vendors to the building, so people skills are incredibly important!

As a Porter, you will be primarily responsible with helping maintain the building (both inside and out), which will include assisting the property manager and/or leasing consultant with various custodial tasks and assisting maintenance tech with work orders as needed.

Various job duties will include:

• Enhance the curb appeal of the community.


• Ensure all areas of the property are clean and safe and always in "tour condition."


• Provide outstanding customer service at all times.


• Maintain a neat designated disposal area.


• Transport trash and waste to disposal area.


• Perform light maintenance when required.


• Maintain all exterior common areas, including community spaces.


• Perform other duties as assigned.


• Help with some light cleaning duties.


• Assist with outside improvements like painting curbs.
