Sr. Lead Java Developer  

This global client is headquartered in Dallas, TX and is a recognized employer of the Dallas-Fort Worth marketplace. They are hiring a Senior Lead Java Developer. This SaaS company is a leader in providing innovative software services to their customers nationally. The Senior Lead Java Developer will partner with managers, internal users, clients, sales and relationship management to: Analyze the present-state Java development environment and develop key applications within a Java / AWS environment. They will be facilitating implementation across the enterprise while working closely with senior executives to assess and address customer needs.

This agile delivery team creates and delivers new features and supports existing functionality with high quality and reliability. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects using diverse and cutting-edge technologies. Your day-to-day role will:

• Participate in building complex Java IT initiatives, applications and tasks that require advanced techniques in the forefront of technology.


• Partner with other IT teams to own the IT Platform from strategy to support for a superior user experience.


• Work with business partners to ensure sufficient and detailed project requirements are obtained and documented, based on thorough process analytics and customer input and design sessions across teams.


• Build a deep understanding of workflows that make a customer successful and apply that knowledge to build high-quality software.


• Utilize Agile Development experience, such as: unit testing, continuous integration, refactoring, code reviews, meeting the overall project requirements.


• Contribute as a fully embedded member of an agile team, working directly with other Software Engineers, Product Managers, Software Architects, Product Owners, and others to define, plan, and execute work.


• Work closely with the development team to mentor, review and monitor implementation of specifications to ensure that the finished product meets the stated business requirements within project timelines.

• Create, improve and maintain software components utilizing appropriate software language(s) while applying the necessary engineering theory and logic to meet overall project requirements.


• Engage and collaborate with Software Engineers across teams to share and define best practices related to their area(s) of expertise.


• Effectively communicate with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed.


• Adheres to the highest moral, ethical and legal standards to deliver an environment that promotes respect, innovation and creativity.


• Positively impact coworkers and teams in a highly collaborative environment.


• Lead teams through the project lifecycle from identification to project execution and delivery.


• Assist relationship management and client services in driving adoption of product enhancements.

Required Skills:

• 12+ years of Information Technology experience.


• 7+ years development experience in Java, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Ajax, and other web technologies.


• Experience deploying applications on an Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.


• Proven experience of leading and managing fast-paced teams that follow SDLC and agile methodologies.


• Experience implementing custom projects for a client is a must.


• Experience in driving requirement gathering sessions with Business SMEs


• Proficient in managing and developing relationships with multiple Clients


• Experience in defining requirement documents, technical specifications, and building quality software solutions.


• Self-motivated, directed, and passionate.


• Must have excellent organizational and time management skills

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field from an accredited university, or equivalent experience.
