The Regional Manager is responsible for direct oversight of Otter Learning’s growing network of best-in-class early childhood education schools throughout the Orlando, FL area. You will serve as the operational team leader for daily center operations. This role requires an individual willing to think proactively to solve issues before they arise. You will have direct oversight of several Directors and Assistant Directors and report directly to the CEOs and Founders of Otter Learning. As part of this role, you will spend considerable time shadowing and learning directly from the CEOs to gain perspective into requirements for the role.
Otter Learning’s goal is to provide a unique school experience that is more than just a "daycare." Our faculty is made of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child's needs. We have high expectations for the children in our program, and even higher for our employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple schools to ensure operational stability and business “best practices” are implemented and maintained
- Proactively addresses concerns, anticipating the needs of both internal stakeholders and the families we serve
- Use critical thinking to analyze center trends and territory performance, while providing support to enable schools to thrive
- Execute operational strategies to drive success in critical performance measurements: enrollment, retention, productivity, quality, and customer-service
- Creates an environment of trust andrapport with direct reports and center employees
- Consistently seeks new and innovative ways to improve performance for the region
- Negotiate 3rd party contracts and lead property management efforts
- Consistently maintain knowledge of standard operating proceduresand childcare licensing regulations
- Avoids risk by understanding current and proposed regulations; enforcing requirements; recommending new procedures
- Provide guidance and support to Directors and staff for correspondence with families
Experience/Requirements
- Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management, organizational, writing and reporting skills
- Solid business acumen, management, analytical, and problem-thinking skills
- Strong computer and technology skills, including Microsoft business applications
- Bachelor’s Degree or appropriate equivalent from an accredited university
- Ability and willingness to work a Full-Time schedule
- Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in organizational service areas, as required by duties (gas reimbursement included in compensation package)
- Ideal but not required: Experienced multi-unit operator (i.e. early childcare education, retail, restaurant, and /or franchise concepts)
