Mathison is seeking a Sales Manager to be chosen by one of our exclusive clients.
The Opportunity
In an effort to help better serve their 100+ million registered hourly workers and nearly 500,000 employer partners, they are seeking a Sales Manager to lead a team of sales professionals, and help grow and expand their business in existing accounts.
Experience in sales management is required, as are strong coaching and mentoring skills and a passion to increase the company’s growth and revenue. This position is vital to the overall company mission and offers a highly rewarding opportunity for a sales professional with proven B2B experience, consultative sales skills, and a desire to make a visible impact on a fast-growing team. The ideal candidate is driven by the fact that their efforts in this role will have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. This role will report to the Director of Retail Accounts, and will be working with some of the country’s most recognizable brands.
This role may be based in their Arlington or Richmond, VA office.
What You Get to Do
- Develop sales plans and tactics for achieving bookings and revenue goals, including renewal strategies and upselling existing customers
- Ensure all client executives meet or exceed daily/weekly/monthly activity standards for discovery calls, presentations, negotiations and proposals, and closes
- Support retail sales team in creating effective presentations and proposals and in meeting with clients
- Conduct regular team meetings to share team experiences, build motivation and enhance selling skills
- Collaborate with other sales leadership teams to ensure proper execution of joint sales opportunities
- Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity and bookings forecast
- Set an example for sales team in both product knowledge and sales process
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions with client executives to build more effective communications, provide training, to understand development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of account executives’ performance
- Share knowledge and experiences with cross departmental stakeholders while driving strategies that contribute to the overall success of the team
- Some travel to client sites and other offices required
- What You’ll Bring
- Proven B2B sales and customer account management experience
- Experience leading a team of sales or customer account management professionals
- Digital advertising sales experience preferred but not required
