What we do
The Authorization Network provides a nationwide person centric view of cross organizational resource sharing. It produces accredited authentication and authorization decisions, using accredited services, accredited policies, and accredited data.
The Authorization Network is an accredited decentralized network, built on top on the WebShield privacy network (PN) and Universal Trust Model (UTM) technologies. The network is formed from both (1) existing solutions and information deployed at organizations, and (2) new services and information where gaps are identified, for example smart identity linking and discovery. These parties in the network collaborate and share information in the process of authenticating and authorizing entities accessing protected resources.
The Authorization Network comprises of one or more AuthNet UTM accredited PN privacy domains (PD) that contain the services and information.
Responsibilities
- Evangelize the Authorization Network both inside and outside the company
- Own, plan, and build out the reference person centric authorization implementation
- Uses the WebShield PN and UTM as an enabler, feedback requirements into product plan
- Using industry standard solutions such as Ping, Senzing which need to be PN enabled and integrated together
- Identifying gaps and either building or fill using 3rd party solutions
- Work with trust model analysts to realize and incorporate the AuthNet TM and UTM into reference
- Enable the success of pilots and customers creating Authorization Networks
- Ensure integration of the Authorization Network with other Privacy Network Exchange networks (payment, trust, data)
- Initially this position will require coding and will grow into a team lead position
Requirements
- Deep experience of current authentication, authorization, and Identity Federation standards and solutions
- Tags: OAuth, scopes, bearer tokens, SAML, XACML, Policies, Web Security, JWTs, Ping, Identity Management (IDMs), Identity, ForgeRock, Okta, Identity Federation, attribute-based access control
- Experience with architecting and building scalable web application and/or decentralized systems
- Ability to quickly turn high level business requirements into a solution and road map
- Experience leading a small team of engineers and working with external partners who provide COTS or custom solutions
- Experience with scrum, stand-up, stories, two-week iterations/sprints
