Hours:

• 2pm-10:30pm - training will occur from 6am-2:30pm


•  Must meet DOD/ITAR requirements for this position


• PPE -Must provide safety shoes at own expense


• Standard safety glasses will be provided.

• Job responsibilities and skills required vary from fabricating, coating and testing optical components to assembling and testing optical systems.


• Individuals must be team oriented and able to work collaboratively with others. Having glass handling or working with glass optical components highly valuable.

General Duties:

•  Manufacturing tasks in compliance with work instructions


• Using Leybolt Coaters for coating of optical components


• Inspecting / Testing optics films


•  Performing calculations, quality tests, inspection

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

•  Hand/eye coordination / manual dexterity / attention to detail


•  PC skills and ability to operate electronic equipment


•  An AS degree or equivalent experience in optics or other technical field is preferred


•  2 years’ experience desired

Working Conditions:

• Temperature controlled environments


• Safety glasses and safety shoes required


•  Able to lift up to 15 pounds


•  Willingness to work overtime

• Location: USA - NY - Fairport 


• Duration of contract: 3 Months may extend 


• Education/ Experience:  AS degree or equivalent experience in optics or other technical field is preferred,  2 years’ experience desired
