Senior Human Resources Manager - $120-130K + 15% Bonus – Industrial Equipment Manufacturing – Responsible for a staff of 10 in an 700 employee manufacturing facility, non-union. This is a Non-Union site, but will consider both union and nonunion background.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor employment trends and control turnover. Administer benefits. Implement and annually update compensation program. Conducts annual salary surveys and develops merit pool (salary budget); analyzes compensation; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. Consult with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate. Ensure all employees are highly motivated and engaged by proactive measures and activities. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required. Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention. Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation. Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, transfers. May assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters. Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning. Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. Develop and implement training programs based on needs analysis. Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs.
Minimum of bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management and other related fields. Minimum of 8-10 years of HR and resolution of complex employee relation issues in manufacturing environment. PHR or SPHR certification preferred. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, training and development, worker's comp, and federal and state respective employment laws. Working knowledge of TPS (Toyota Production System) is a plus. Excellent leadership and decision making skills. Excellent problem solving skills with ability to develop and propose countermeasures. Excellent report writing skills (using MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Excellent presentation skills. Strong conflict management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of diversity and unique challenges of multi-cultural workplace. Ability to understand issues domestically and internationally and communicate effectively. Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels. Be self-directed and motivated. Ability to interacting with team members on the floor.
