Job Description:



JKaiser is an unparalleled commercial furnishings and design firm that is seeking high achieving, creative, solution-oriented team players who want a high energy initiative rewarded career environment.



We are seeking individuals with a minimum of 5 years of experience specifying systems and casegoods furniture in a commercial furnishings environment.



Job Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Utilizing AutoCAD and industry-specific software, the designer will space plan, specify

    and design turn-key spaces for a variety of corporate, healthcare and educational

    environments

  • Meet with client(s) and the sales team to program client needs and develop product

    solutions

  • Specify products and solutions for interior and exterior spaces

  • Choose furniture and building finishes for new construction projects

  • Create finish & concept boards and presentations as needed to convey concepts

  • Prepare pricing proposals for end-users

  • Create detailed installation drawings and instructions

  • Communicate with vendors and obtain quotes

  • Coordinate with the Creative Director and Project Manager to ensure successful

    execution of projects from start to finish

  • Be conscientious about the sociology of the workplace, including trends in

    collaborative space, co-working, executive suites, mobility, and evolving environments


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • In-depth knowledge of commercial furnishings, ergonomics and acoustic products

  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently; excellent attention to detail




  • Advanced customer service skills to diplomatically communicate with vendors and

    resolve issues

  • Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills

  • Follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and outside vendors

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic

  • Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment

  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction

  • Experience as a facilitator, and/or liaison between parties regarding building facility

    projects is highly desirable

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Fluency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite is required




  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 Lbs
