DEVOPS IT ENGINEER
As a DevOps IT engineer, you will be a key contact working with the development team to build, deploy and maintain world-class applications for a leading Automotive Marketing and Technology company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setup build and deployment plans
- Setup monitoring of all applications including performance and uptime monitoring
- Deploy virtual machines and administer Google Cloud Platform
- Maintain our networking infrastructure
- Assist in pricing estimates for hosting solutions on-premise, in our hosting facility and in the cloud
- Work closely with the development and IT to build applications in a modular and scalable fashion
- Work with office associates and remote employees ensuring their desktop environments are maintained
- Support our mail and phone systems
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years' experience in IT support in a DevOps environment
- 5+ years' administering .Net stack applications, windows, IIS, SQL Server, etc.
- Administrative experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment using tools such as GIT, TFS, Bit Bucket, Bamboo
- Solid understanding of networking infrastructure and security, firewalls, IDS
- Solid understanding of security principles in technology, SOC 2 compliance standards experience a big plus!
- Experience in VMware and virtualization
- Experience in performance, uptime monitoring, and debugging solutions through the IT stack
- Knowledge in automation testing tools like SonarQube, Selenium or other similar tools
- Working knowledge of Microservices and how they are applied in a cloud environment, especially as they relate to .Net, AZURE, AWS, GCP
- Extensive experience with security principles: Authentication, authorization, OAUTH, SAML, public-private key encryption, asymmetric encryption, symmetric encryption, token validation, encoding, single sign-on
- Knowledge of caching strategy to improve the performance of security systems
- Monthly “On-Call” rotation with ability to respond 24-hours a day to emergencies
- Monthly weekend rotation for Production Patching
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related work experience
- A+, MCP, Dell certifications and Microsoft Office expertise, a plus!

Competitive compensation will be commensurate with experience. Participation in company benefit offerings includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, and wellness. This is a full-time, on-site, salaried position located at our corporate office in Herndon, VA. Remote employees with exceptional qualifications will be considered.
