We are seeking a Transportation Supervisor in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area!  

Angell Transport is currently hiring for the position of Transportation Supervisor out of our Haslet, TX location. We are a transportation company based in Haslet, TX that contracted with Amazon Logistics (April 2020) to manage the execution of their regional linehaul operations. We have a fleet of (31) CNG/Diesel Day Cab/Sleeper Tractors and run solo regional runs between their warehouse networks. As our team continues to expand, the need for dependable leaders within our driver culture continues to expand. 

The role will report directly to Angell Transport’s Operations Manager, who reports directly to the President. We operate 7- days per week, 362 days per year. The schedule permits an 80% “Onsite/Office” and 20% “Work from Home” schedule. The role is additionally supported by a full back-office operation including Dispatch, Payroll, HR, Accounting, Legal and Insurance resources. 

 

Schedule and Benefits: 


  • 5-day schedule to be determined; both weekend days required 


  • $65,000 base salary 


  • Health insurance available 1st of the month after 30 days 


  • 401(k) with 3% employer match after 1 year

Key Responsibilities:  


  • Assist the Division Operations Manager on key operational tasks to include: 


  • Fleet maintenance planning 


  • Driver scheduling 


  • Capacity planning & management 


  • Complete weekend coverage for operational escalations 


  • Lead recruiting, hiring and capacity planning initiatives 


  • Own driver engagement – including team building, awards, recognition and corporate safety & performance programs 


  • Assist drivers with vehicle assignments, maintenance issues, and other on-duty support  


  • Coach driver team on Safe driving and workplace behavior 


  • Monitor routes and driver performance, addressing delays or issues as they arise  


  • Coordinate with dispatch team as needed to ensure on-time performance  


  • Manage tractor maintenance; submit work orders for vehicle maintenance and repairs  


  • Assist with data entry and reporting using Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel  


  • Monitor driver hours of service to prevent H.O.S. violations  


  • Provide flexible support during peak seasons (November-January) and Prime Weeks 

 

Requirements:  


  • 5+ years' experience in transportation or logistics required 


  • Understanding of DOT/FMCSA Compliance requirements required
