Job Duties

Provide phone, email, and zoom consultation to troubleshoot, debug, and solve customer problems of high complexity, related to TIBCO Spotfire Server issues including installation, configuration, authentication, SSL, network communication, platform, database, and database connectivity. Responsible for high severity issues from a technical standpoint without assistance. Responsible for defects/enhancements reported by customers and provide resolution in the appropriate hotfix/service pack. Understand the problems reported by customers and reproduce locally in the Support Lab. Document problems, solutions, and defects in the Support call tracking system (Salesforce Service Cloud) accurately and completely. Investigate and provide workarounds as applicable. Collaborate with other departments, such as Product Engineering and Professional Services as required. Participate in side-projects aiming at improving usability, supportability, and quality of the TIBCO Spotfire products. Contribute to and challenge management initiatives. Help identify ways to make measurable improvements to our KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Assist with driving the implementation of process and product improvements.

Job Requirements

Position requires a Bachelor’s or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Engineering, or related field, plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive work experience in job offered, as a Technical Consultant, Project Lead, or a related occupation. Stated experience must include: 1. Apache Tomcat; 2. Kerberos Authentication; 3. Java; 4. R; 5. Oauth; and 6. Microsoft/Azure SQL Server.
