Data Engineering Manager, i360 Holdings, LLC, Arlington, VA:

Job Description:

Lead and supervise a team of data engineers in the data operations team. Oversee design, architecture, and deployment of end-to-end SQL and NoSQL database solutions. Determine business requirements, recommend appropriate technologies, develop code, mentor team members, and oversee QA and deployment processes. Code applications that adhere to enterprise design patterns. Load and process disparate data sets using appropriate technologies including but not limited to Postgres, Snowflake, Spark, Python and Java. Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Tune relational database systems and NoSQL systems for performance and reliability, as well as build tools and scripts to monitor, troubleshoot, and automate systems. Perform scalability, latency, and availability tests on a regular basis. Create and maintain technical specification documentation. Assign projects to team members and help manage their day-to-day priorities. Provide mentoring and guidance on coding standards, best practices and business domain knowledge. Provide yearly performance review and help establish a long- term career path for team members.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics Engineering, Statistics, or related IT field and three (3) years of experience in software engineering.



Of the required experience, must have experience in all of the following:



Three years of experience building, scaling, and maintaining high volume systems;
Two years of experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PG;
Two years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, data modeling, and building ETL pipelines;
Two years of experience in developing enterprise applications using Java or Python;
Two years of experience with extracting insights from complex data sets using visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI;
Two years of experience analyzing large complex data sets to resolve data quality and performance issues; and
One year of experience in database engineering.
