Investment Associate (The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ):



Quantitative software developer role, with initial mandates focused on implementing pricing, risk, P&L and attribution methodologies based on guidance from senior team members. Research and implement interest rate, equity, foreign exchange models used in valuation of domestic and international products, ESG solutions across the company. Partner with peer analytical teams, technology team to build market data and asset/analytics data sets, ensure data needs from upstream partners meet our requirements and data we provide meets requirements of downstream partners. Partner with the trade desk to ensure analytical needs are being met, ensure smooth processing of data/analytics from upstream systems to trader user interface. Support analysis and research related to implementation of hedging strategies.

Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.


Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Quantitative Computational Finance, or related quantitative field, and 3 years of post-
baccalaureate related work experience; OR Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Quantitative Computational Finance, or
related quantitative field, and 1 year of related work experience.


Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:



· Developing software;

· Python;

· Derivatives pricing theory and practice;

· Equity or rate derivatives, gained via modeling, risk management or trading; and

· Quantitative strategy and analysis initiatives.
