Job duties: Perform application development supporting business objectives while demonstrating independence in software development lifecycle phases from concept and design to testing. Work on new and existing applications along with enhancements to websites, web applications, and infrastructure. Perform hands-on coding and assists in architecting web content solutions. Serve as a liaison to internal customers, research groups and various business support areas. Provide technical guidance to junior programmers and other software engineers. Troubleshoot and maintain mid-level to complex applications. Participate in design and technical meetings. Telecommuting permitted.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; plus 1 year of Developer or related experience. The position also requires a minimum of 1 years of experience with the following: 1. Software development of web applications. 2. Development of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). 3. Cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). 4. Trouble-shoot and resolve software production issues. 5. Collaborate with internal software development and business teams.

Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; plus 3 years of Developer or related experience. The position also requires a minimum of 3 years of experience with the following: 1. Software development of web applications. 2. Development of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). 3. Cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). 4. Trouble-shoot and resolve software production issues. 5. Collaborate with internal software development and business teams.
