Responsible for building the back-end wiring, application logic, front-end build tools, and UI that drive the site; identify and use the best technologies to add features to our products, as well as create new products; provide support in all aspects of the software development process, including design, coding, testing, debugging and tuning; collaborate with fellow software engineers and other teams to design innovative and exciting products that meet the needs of our users, which includes students and teachers throughout the world; use JavaScript ES5 and ES6, as well as JavaScript libraries YUI2, YUI3, jQuery and React; create build tools for the front-end technology stack using Webpack, Gulp, Apache server configuration, Perl, SCSS and ES Lint; utilize and apply knowledge of Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, operating systems, Algorithms, NoSQL databases, Data Mining, Hadoop, Compilers, C++, SQL, JavaScript and object-oriented languages to perform duties; and provide software engineering assistance in improving education through technology and our corporate products.

Salary: $176,000 per year
