Job Duties

Develop, create, and modify computer applications software. Specifically, design, develop, and debug applications software for mobility, virtualization, networking, and/or cloud computing products. Build and enhance new features for commercial applications using object-oriented analysis and design, multi-threaded programming, and test-driven development methodologies. Exercise judgement within the company’s defined software development methodologies, procedures, and practices to determine appropriate action with respect to the design and development of software components for existing and new products. Participate in all phases of the Software Engineering Lifecycle, including research, conceptual planning, software design, scheduling, coding, code reviews, troubleshooting and debugging, and status reporting. Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations and data requires a review of a variety of factors and technical skills in the areas of computer architecture, data structures, memory management, and TCP/IP. Contribute to writing software requirements and design specifications and support applications software post-release. Establish and maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all work. Receiving general instructions on day-to-day work and detailed instructions on new assignments, work in multiple sub-disciplines of software and systems engineering, including: requirement development, product design, software

estimation, testing, performance measurement, and maintenance. Collaborate with other programmers and scrum team on technical aspects related to the project.

Job Requirements

The position requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, engineering, or a related technical field. 

Must have the following skill set (evidenced by coursework or prior experience): data structures and algorithms; SQL Programming; NoSql Database such as dynamoDb; Cloud Platform including AWS, Azure or GCP; Infrastructure as Code Tools such as Terraform; REST; experience with one or more scripting languages including Unix shell, PERL, Java Script, PowerShell, or Python; experience with one or more programming languages including C#, Java, or C++; and experience with operating systems and computer networking.
