Infosoft, Inc. has an opening for the position of Application Engineer (Ref# AE620MK) to work in Overland Park, KS and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Job Duties: Work on migrating legacy service-oriented front-end architecture application to a Java web-based application. Involved in various phases of the software development life-cycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies including requirement gathering, designing, planning, development, testing, and deployment of the applications. Design and review the application functionalities based on the business requirements. Create a custom responsive web application to replace a legacy line-of-business web application. Design and develop responsive single page web applications with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript libraries. Architect the application workflow to create a responsive application which will help in creating, editing, saving, and submitting the report requests to process. Analyze legacy database queries and integrate backend services with the database. Creating front-end components and integrate the components with Spring Boot to fetch the data from the database. Implement Jenkins to achieve CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) to deploy to the servers in all environments (DEV, QA, and PROD). Working on enhancements to existing applications for new business requirements. Enhance code coverage and maintain reliable code by working on vulnerabilities. Monitor system activity including application test activities after production deployment. Involved in all phases of production releases. Use of Agile, Java, Spring, JPA, Hibernate, JavaScript, jQuery, ReactJS, NodeJS, Bootstrap, REST/SOAP Web Services, JUnit, Maven, GIT, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Windows. Travel and/or relocation required.

Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 6 months of experience in the job offered or 6 months in a related occupation including Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related experience. 40hrs/week.
