Position: Mechanical Engineer [Req #K4536]

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Duties: Identify and troubleshoot mechanical engineering problems. Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering test reports. Develop, design, or modify complex mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications. Develop and implement concepts for a range of complex product issues and engineering solutions, which entails fluid mechanics, mechanical design, mechanics of materials and thermodynamics. Generate product specifications and introduce conceptual solutions through analysis, and translation of customer specs to hardware/mechanical problem statements. Includes in-depth mechanical simulation (FEA/CFD) and analytical calculations to guide concrete solutions. Design, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. Lead projects with notable risk and complexity; works within general functional policies and industry guidelines.

Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and 2 years of experience in the position offered or related mechanical engineering position.

Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in each of the following:
NX; SolidWorks; Teamcenter; PECVD; and Matlab

Salary: $128,690-$167,297 per year
