Puff Corp seeks Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop products according to specification and create Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models, including part and assembly drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and complex surfacing. Utilize and analyze three-dimensional modeling and rapid prototyping to creatively problem solve with an eye on manufacturability. Collaborate with third party manufacturers to ensure products are manufactured according to Puffco specifications. Work with the ID, EE, and Quality departments of Puffco to create user focused reliable products that he will manage throughout their lifecycle. Investigate equipment difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend design changes as needed. Support the product ideation phase through leading new technology assessments, supporting prototype testing and analysis, coordinating with other functions to ensure cohesive integration of all technologies, and identifying strategies to address any supply chain gaps. Requires Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering; 3 months experience as Mechanical Engineer; Experience in designing drafting products from conceptual designs into CAD models producible by plastic injection, CNC machining, and other processes; evaluating and developing mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by applying principles of mechanics and materials; developing manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
