SMV Recruiting is looking for a CNC Machinist to add to the team for our manufacturing client in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of operating CNC equipment, perform set ups and utilize tools such as caliper, micrometers and gauages, etc. This is a direct hire role with excellent benefits, competitive pay and an excellent company culture!
Responsibilities:
- Utilize CNC machines at a time to machine quality parts that are 30+ lbs
- Perform 1-5 set ups per day by reading blueprints
- Use manual CNC programming to make precise cuts and make edits
- Change out chuck and jaws on the machines when needed
- Perform inspections on the products using the measuring devices
- Keep machines running accurately, adjust the machines as needed
- Read and write process instructions, work orders, quality documents and other paperwork
Requirements:
- 5-10+ years CNC Mill machining experience is required
- Must be able to lift and move products as needed
- Must be mathematically and mechanically inclined
- Must be able to write and read instructions, work orders and other documents
