Major manufacturing company seeks an experience EHS Manager to be based out of their Central NY location. This person will manage the EHS program for two manufacturing plants with 600+ employees. This position will have 3 direct reports. Company has a tremendous reputation for treating their employees well and being pro-active towards safety. They are looking for an experience EHS professional to take their safety program to the next level.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide safety leadership and experience to the corporation.
- Collaborate with all leaders to enhance the company's behavioral-based safety approach.
- Establish and implement a multi-year safety program.
- Work effectively with operations team to ensure risks are identified and managed.
- Subject matter expert on safety resouces.
- Maintain and provide annual safety training
- Maintain regulatory and internal reporting.
- Maintain a plant presence and create a safety resource for plant supervisors and employees.
- Facilitate injury analysis and reporting
Requirements:
- BS Safety or related
- 7+ years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 4+ years safety leadership experience
- CSP is a plus
