Director of Surgical Services, RN
Location: Loxahatchee, FL 33470
Salary: $97,926.40 - $146,889.60 per year (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite

Our client, a prominent healthcare provider in Loxahatchee, FL, is seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services, RN to lead and manage their perioperative team. This hospital has a welcoming culture and state-of-the-art facilities, including 8 operating rooms with a 9th under construction, and it handles a variety of surgeries including orthopedic, OB/GYN, and urology cases. With five surgical robots and an annual case volume of 1,400 robotic procedures and 3,500 general surgeries, this position offers a rewarding leadership opportunity for someone with deep experience in the OR.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 24/7 leadership and oversight for the Surgical Services department.
Identify and resolve potential problems affecting service delivery while ensuring safe patient care.
Participate in hospital-wide committees, represent surgical services, and communicate effectively with staff and leadership.
Mentor, coach, and develop staff, including participation in employee rounding and identifying future leaders.
Enforce surgical standards of care and develop processes to ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Advance patient and employee satisfaction through evidence-based practices.
Oversee the development and implementation of a quality surgical services program that aligns with the hospital's mission.
Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
Current RN license in the state of Florida.
3+ years of leadership experience in surgical services.
Strong foundational knowledge of the operating room (OR) with experience managing surgical services in facilities with 5+ ORs.
Experience building strong relationships with both staff and physicians.
Familiarity with metrics, including patient care and operational KPIs.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) and CSSM (Certified Surgical Services Manager) certifications preferred.
Experience with Kronos or similar systems for workforce management.
