At Eventbrite, Inc.’s office in San Francisco, California, work directly with a combined Engineering and Product Team to design models and data assets that power critical product experiences and move customer metrics. Build Machine Learning models and deliver end-to-end scalable solutions to business problems, using deep learning to develop low dimensional embeddings for reusable understanding of user preferences. Establish efficient and well-maintained automated processes, from model development to deployment and monitoring, using orchestration frameworks like Airflow and SQL-based ETL frameworks like DBT. Analyze large datasets to identify new opportunities for data-driven product development using appropriate technologies such as PySpark, Snowflake, and Jupyter notebooks. Partner with Product Managers to design the most suitable Machine Learning solutions for business problems. Accelerate the pace of data-driven product experience at Eventbrite. Collaborate with other Data Scientists to design accurate and robust models, stay up-to-date on the latest approaches, and build a strong machine learning foundation for the company. May train or mentor more junior data scientists on a project basis. Up to 5% of domestic and/or international travel may be required. May work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and 2 years of experience with data science, specifically the design of machine learning for direct product deployment.

Experience must include:
• 2 years of experience with Python in a Data Science context, including Jupyter notebooks, common machine learning libraries (such as Scikit-learn, Xgboost, or PyTorch), and data manipulation libraries such as Pandas;
• 2 years of experience leveraging SQL and related business intelligence tools for data acquisition and business insights; and
• 2 years of working with product stakeholders to deliver machine learning solutions.


Target base salary is $158,642 - $203,640 per year depending on experience, skill, location and other factors.
