Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate along with either completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field.

Experience
2 years to less than 3 years

Candidate must have great attention to detail, handle working under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Specific Skills

• Maintain accurate financial records and use both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems to create, manage, and balance different accounts.
• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
• Review invoice data accuracy and ensure compliance.
• Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls, and for utility, tax and other bills.
• Prepare tax remittance details.
• Perform other accounting, administrative or analysis duties as assigned.
• Complete and submit tax remittance forms, worker’s compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents.
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
