ASSISTANT TO CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER/DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: Responsible for functions of Human Resources Department.



 



 



SPECIFIC DUTIES:



 



Human Resources Primary



 




  • Provide effective communication and supervision of Human Resources Department. (E)

  • Process requests for transfer/position change/leave time, etc. (E)

  • Coordinate and monitor staff compensation according to Salary Schedule. (E)

  • Process salary increases and increments as budget allows. (E)

  • Provide effective resolution to personnel complaints/issues. (E)

  • Assist Program Directors/Supervisors with staff selections/terminations. (E)

  • Coordinate employee benefits coverage, claims, billing, etc. (E)

  • Prepare personnel cost reports. (E)

  • Prepare overtime cost reports. (E)

  • Prepare training compliance reports (TB, CPR/First Aid, E-Learning, etc.). (E)

  • Prepare volunteer/practicum reports. (E)

  • Coordinate and monitor TB skin tests to ensure compliance. (E)

  • Coordinate and monitor contracts (professional services; EAPs; etc.) (E)

  • Process provider enrollments for insurance, CAQH, NPI, etc. (E)

  • Respond to requests for information by government and private agencies (disability insurance, workman's comp, etc.) (E)




  • Assist state and independent auditors in the completion of mandatory audits. (E)

  • Defend unemployment claims for appeals as necessary. (E)

  • Conduct recruiting efforts as appropriate. (E)

  • Process all performance evaluations twice yearly (E)

  • Assist in creation of job descriptions (E)

  • Evaluate and update Personnel Policies annually. (E)

  • Coordinate New Employee Orientation (E)

  • Conduct other training as necessary. (E)

  • Evaluate and document the job performance of each member under his/her direction. (E)

  • Serve as a member of the Regional Executive/Performance Improvement Committee. (E)

  • Assist in Quality Improvement initiatives and monitoring as needed. (E)

  • Chair Committees as needed. (E)

  • Other duties as deemed necessary by Chief Executive Officer. (E)



 



 


Human Resources Oversight

 




  • Maintenance and update of paper and electronic personnel files.

  • Pre-employment screening, background checks, drug screening, etc.

  • Annual background checks

  • Ongoing compliance with KERS reporting requirements.

  • Maintenance of applications for employment according to EEOC.

  • Management of open Workers Comp claims

  • Update and distribution of in-house posting of open positions bi-weekly

  • Placement of employment advertisements

  • Human Resources QI monitoring

  • Maintenance of Employment Law posters as required at each worksite

  • Workers’ compensation claims

  • Delivery of on-site CPR/First Aid, Safe Crisis Management training to Adanta employees.
