PayPal, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 2 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Develop high-volume and scalable software. Create web applications using React/Node and other technologies. Create back end services using Java, SQL, REST. Build and develop new user facing experiences. Partner closely with cross functional teams in design, product and other business units. Employ strong knowledge in Object-Oriented Design Principles, Data Structures, Algorithms, SQL/NoSQL, Operating Systems, and Software Engineering. Utilize multiple complex technologies such as Java, Python, SQL, Node.js, Javascript in a fast-changing environment. Understand Web Services and develop and design REST API, GraphQL etc. Understand industry standard authentication and authorization protocols as well as data encryption standards.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a closely related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Base salary: $158,722-176,000 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
