3D Systems Inc. seeks an Applications Engineer in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Applications Engineer is a member of the software team and will interact daily with Sales, Product Management, Technical Support and Marketing teams for industrial 3D manufacturing operations systems. Assists in pre-sales and post-sales activities by collaborating with colleagues on the Sales team to understand customer technical and engineering requirements. Develops and provides technical demonstrations for potential clients, performs benchmarks and participates in company events to promote product offerings. Develops and maintains relationships with partners, clients and distributors by providing them with technical expertise and sales support of proprietary products. Creates technical engineering content used for marketing such as videos, webinars and PowerPoint presentations for prospective customers. Provides technical trainings to internal and external users regarding the use of software and platforms. Attends trade shows and seminars to serve as a technical expert on products being promoted. Documents client activities, generates reports, responds to proposals, documents industry-specific solutions and maintains records of customers. Develops technical content (presentations, demonstrations, benchmarks) that deliver proof of business value for products.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, 60 months of experience in sales engineering, 60 months of experience using Computer Aided Engineering to support clients, and experience providing technical trainings. Travel 30-50% in N. and S. America.
