Design Lead with WorkandCo International, Inc. d/b/a Work & Co (Brooklyn, NY)

Design leader driving the user experience strategy and design direction of products. Responsibilities extend beyond crafting visually appealing interfaces; lead cross-functional teams in conceptualizing, prototyping, and iterating on designs to meet user needs and business objectives. The role involves conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering feedback to inform design decisions, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user journey. Responsible for collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into elegant, user-centric solutions, while also managing and guiding junior designers to foster their growth and skill development. Ultimately, will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of products, delivering impactful experiences that resonate with users and drive business success.
Supervises 1 Senior Designer.
Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Brooklyn, NY.
15% travel required, domestically and internationally.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communications Design, or related field. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, employer will accept 3 years of bachelor’s-level studies in Design, Visual Communications Design, or related field, and 2 years of related experience.
Requires 3 years of related experience. Must have some experience in each of the following skills: Designing a responsive B2C web-based platform to increase sales revenue for a mass media website; Prototyping digital designs (HTML and CSS) for web pages of a mass media website; Developing design concepts to raise luxury elements of a homepage for the global tourism industry to drive traffic and sales conversion; Prototyping digital designs for mobile application workflows increasing customer engagement; Developing innovative stop-motion design concepts tailored to drive investment in digital product roadmap; and Designing brand-consistent B2C designs for television displays within hotel environments.

Offered salary range: $155,688 - $170,000 per year
