Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join their team. The Radiation Therapist will safely and accurately operate equipment that delivers ionizing radiation to treat neoplastic diseases or for other therapeutic purposes. This role involves performing high-quality radiation therapy procedures, following protocols in a timely manner, and ensuring adherence to prescriptions and instructions from the Radiation Oncologist.

Key responsibilities include:

-Performing pretreatment preparations, including simulations and the fabrication of treatment devices
-Conducting daily morning QA on linear accelerators and CT simulators
-Using hospital and Radiation Oncology EMR systems to document patient treatments, positioning, and care coordination
-Scheduling patients for simulation/treatment
-Participating in on-call procedures when needed
-Providing education and support to patients, ensuring a positive experience
-Maintaining calm and professionalism, even under stress, and resolving issues promptly


Qualifications

-Minimum education: Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy
-3-5 years of experience preferred
-Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and licensed by the state of New Mexico, or eligible for licensure
-CPR certification required


This is a full-time position.
