Job Description:
Performs liaison function between Plant and customer and supplier locations Participates in the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) meetings and activities including the development of special characteristics.
Provides support for compliance with IATF-16949, ISO-9001, and ISO-14001.
Develops PPAP or equivalent packages for submission to customers and tracks approval status. Develop, implement, and maintain the MQP (Manufacturing Quality Plans) as follows: pFMEA, Control Plans, Flow Diagrams - Inspection Instructions and related forms - Other (Lot Cards, Ok to Ship tags, etc.)
Participates in the development of new or revised gaging methods. Issues Product related process deviations Maintains daily contact and provides support to Manufacturing by facilitating problem solving and continuous improvement to enhance quality and reduce scrap.
Facilitates and documents monthly scrap reduction meetings. Provide training related to boundary samples, SPC, customer specific requirements, etc. Disposition product on-hold throughout the process including Final Audit.
Overall maintenance of NCM (Non-Conforming Material) area including proper tagging, logging, and disposition of material.
Participates in customer and 3rd party assessments as required Completes capability studies and other experimental activities related to product/process variables to include reporting and recommendations Develops, implements, and maintains visual boundary samples Develop, implement, and maintain reaction plans Identify & assist with the development of Error Proofing devices (Poka Yokes) in-process.
Assist with gage maintenance including masters and gage certification tables. Directs the activities of the Quality Inspectors As directed by the Quality Manager

Experience Required
BS Engineering or similar degree; 10 years' experience or combination of experience and education.
Experience Preferred
Quality Assurance/Engineering Experience (5 years preferred) Working knowledge of: Windows PC with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook) ISO9001/IATF16949 & ISO14001 Knowledge AIAG APQP, MSA, PPAP, SPC FMEA manuals
Education Required
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience preferred Six Sigma experience/certification preferred
Additional Information
Additional Information (PPE Requirements, Onsite or Virtual, etc.): PPE requirements, eye, hearing and composite safety shoes. Safety glasses and hearing protection will be provided. Not eligible for offsite/virtual work.
MUST HAVE
BS Engineering or similar degree
10 years experience or combination of experience and education.
5 years experience in pFMEA.
5 years experience in Control Plans.
5 years experience in Flow Diagrams.
Experience in FMEA (Failure mode & effects analysis), Root Cause Analysis, 8D, PPAP and Fishbone / Ishikawa.
NICE TO HAVE
Six ,Sigma experience/certification preferred
