Lead a new SRE function at Tradeweb focused on ensuring reliability across all trading platforms. Utilize observability best practices to provide support and engineering teams with actionable intelligence about system issues before they impact customers. Enhance observability by modifying system code directly or working with development teams. Automate repetitive tasks where possible. Work with system architects to design in reliability and observability from day one. Monitor and plan system capacity and redundancy. Utilize the observability platforms provided by the DevOps team to answer questions about trading system performance by utilizing metrics, logs, and tracing data and building dashboards. Setup alerting to warn support team of system anomalies as early as possible before customers report issues. Add observability into system code or assist dev team in doing so. Monitor system capacity and verify failover options. Provide quality control for the observability platform. The position is fixed and based in Jersey City, NJ; however, telecommuting from a home office location is allowed.
Salary range: $120,000.00 - $240,000.00/year
The experience and education requirements are:
Two (2) years of experience in a Software Engineering/Site Reliability Engineering role or related occupation running mission-critical services.

Must have at least two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
 Experience working with monitoring and logging tools, including Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch
 Experience programming in Bash, Python, C++, or Java
 Development of large-scale distributed systems
 Designing resilient and fault-tolerant systems
 Working with SQL and NoSQL databases (Elastic, Timeseries, or SQL)
 Experience with at least one cloud platform, including AWS, Google, or Azure

Must have at least six (6) months of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
 Experience with container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Math, or a directly related field
