Job Duties/Description:

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama seeks a Senior Application Systems Analyst/Programmer responsible for developing and maintaining applications for Sales Internet & Call Center. Redesigns the STLD Application and rewrites the code for enhancement. Provides ongoing support of the Off-Exchange enrollment portal. Identifies bottlenecks and bugs and devises solutions to discovered problems. Utilizes Mockito/Junit for testing, Jenkins for Continuous Integration, and Maven for dependencies and configuration management. Assists in maintaining code quality, organization, and automatization. Configures and deploys applications on Jboss or Liferay Tomcat servers, ensuring proper setup and performance optimization. Utilizes sonatype to manage and monitor software dependencies for security vulnerabilities. Mitigates potential security risks for all sales related applications.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in Information Technology or a related occupation. Alternatively, will accept at least five (5) years of experience in programming. This position also requires demonstrated knowledge and experience with the following: HTML; CSS3; Java-8/11; SonarQube; Jboss/Tomcat; Bootstrap; Javascript; Spring Boot; SOAP services; JSP; LifeRay; Restful API; SharePoint; JQuery; log4J; IntelliJ; IBM DB2; BitBucket; and JIRA.
