Twilio, Inc. seeks Software Engineer (L2) in San Francisco, CA

Job Duties: Operate and enhance Twilio’s globally spanning voice connectivity layer connecting to client’s and carrier’s VOIP networks. Live by and champion Twilio cultural values encompassed in what we call The Twilio Magic. Collaborate routinely with other team members as well as members of the wider organization to define, build, deploy, operate and scale real time voice services. Work on a highly distributed complex platform with points of presence globally used by millions of customers across the globe. Help, guide, mentor and influence more junior members of the team in their career. Telecommuting Permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or closely related quantitative discipline and two (2) years of experience in job offered or two (2) years of experience in the field of Software Development, System Engineering, Technical Architect, or related occupation

Special Skills:
1. Java
2. Agile
3. MySQL or other relevant distributed cloud database software (HANA or similar)
4. HTTP and TCP
5. REST APIs
6. Cloud computing, specifically AWS
7. Data and metrics software, such as Splunk and DataDog
8. JavaScript
9. Kafka

Salary: $201,573 - $207,620 per year.
