POSITION: Staff Software Engineer

• Build the next generation NYT advertising products to ensure NYT's growth goals.
• Work with team to build resilient software systems that can scale and compete with some of the best Data Managements Platforms in the AdTech industry.
• Incorporate Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, telemetry and observability in our software systems.
• Contribute to Open Source software and organizing Tech talks and Meetups.
• Contribute to our mission of driving the long-term profitability of The Times with a sustainable digital advertising business.


Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience. Experience to include working in Golang, Java, multiple SQL/NoSQL databases including MySQL and Cassandra. Big data processing tools and databases including Big Query and Redshift.


Role Holder has the ability to work remotely but must be able to work during the NYT hours and work from one of the States qualified to operate in as per NY Times.


HOURS: 35 hours per week
LOCATION: 620 8th Avenue, New York New York, 10018
SALARY: $170,000 to $181,000 per year
