We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our team. This role requires a dedicated professional with at least 4 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting, editing, and maintaining legal documents, as well as supporting trial preparation and conducting factual research. This is a non-remote position.

Responsibilities for the Paralegal:

• Draft and edit discovery and related legal documents


• Set up and maintain files


• Proofread work for content, accuracy of copy, format, grammar, punctuation, and syntax


• Acquire, review, summarize, and index case documents


• Monitor case calendars


• Communicate orally and in writing with clients and other contacts


• Conduct factual (and limited legal) research


• Prepare for trial, including the compilation of notebooks and exhibits

Qualifications for the Paralegal:

• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience


• Experience in requesting medical records and preparing in-depth medical summaries


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Effective interaction skills


• In-depth understanding of legal terms and NM court rules & procedures


• Ability to gather appropriate information associated with active cases, including seeking witnesses, planning pleadings, and acquiring affidavits


• Excellent proofreading and word processing abilities


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and PowerPoint


• Familiarity with Document Management Software is a plus

Compensation for the Paralegal: $30 - $34 per hour (DOE)
