Primary Purpose:

Provide assistance with coding, testing, debugging and documenting software configuration management process automation technology for the Dimensions Application and all Change Management integrations with ServiceNow. Provide level-two support software and configuration management process automation technology based on fundamental knowledge of business requirements, user needs, industry offerings and practices, as well as process design/creation, analysis/re-engineering, and implementation skills.



Responsibilities:

• Assist the senior technical team members in determining user requirements and selecting/configuring the software configuration management tool accordingly.

• Maintain operational procedures and assist senior team members with daily support of the software configuration management tools (software release upgrades) in a manner that will meet targeted operational/availability requirements.

• Provide level-two problem resolution and software configuration management support.

• Perform project status reporting to management and affected areas.



Basic Requirements:

• Requires an understanding of distributed application architecture

• Scripting experience in JavaScript, Shell, Batch, Powershell

• Experience with SQLDeveloper and Oracle

• Unix Experience

• Web Services Experience

• Software Development Life Cycle and Code Management knowledge

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, business or related field or equivalent education and related training

• Three years of experience in Information Technology, including two years in systems programming or equivalent experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office products

• Experience with Micro Focus’s Dimensions tool (this is the tool the candidate will be administering)
